Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and competent Executive, Mechanical Design Engineer to support mechanical engineering design, project coordination, and technical documentation for various commercial, industrial, and process facility projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing engineering designs, drawings, calculations, and specifications while ensuring compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and client requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare mechanical engineering designs, calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
Assist in the design and coordination of mechanical systems for commercial, industrial, and process facility projects.
Prepare engineering reports, Bill of Quantities (BQ), tender documents, and technical submissions.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and relevant authorities on project matters.
Support authority submissions and approval processes.
Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and ensure compliance with design requirements.
Ensure all designs comply with applicable engineering standards, codes, and regulations.
Assist in project planning, design reviews, and technical problem-solving activities.
Maintain project documentation and records throughout the project lifecycle.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
Qualification recognized for the Professional Engineer (PE) pathway.
Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering design consultancy.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant mechanical design software.
Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, standards, and codes.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Experience in palm oil mills and processing plants is an added advantage.
Exposure to authority submission processes is preferred.
Experience in commercial, industrial, or process facility projects is preferred.
Experience in BQ and tender documentation preparation is preferred.
Training in AutoCAD, Mechanical Engineering Design, and Occupational Safety and Health Awareness is an advantage.
Exposure to HVAC Design Training, Fire Protection System Design Training, or Professional Engineer (PE) Development Programmes is preferred.
